    Avengers: Doomsday

Avengers: Doomsday opens in US theaters on 18 December 2026, directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. Marvel's official logline says it follows heroes from three distinct universes who are set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat.

The official cast is led by Robert Downey Jr., who plays Victor von Doom, along with Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie and Florence Pugh. It also brings back X-Men actors including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and James Marsden. For the catch-up list, see what to watch before Avengers: Doomsday.

    Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened in US theaters on 31 July 2026, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Tom Holland's Peter Parker is fighting crime full time in a world that no longer remembers him, and the official cast includes Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo.

It scores 90% on Rotten Tomatoes from 438 reviews and has earned $2.52 billion worldwide, according to Wikipedia. Since 6 October 2026 you can buy or rent it digitally in the US, and its subscription streaming date has not been announced. Sony Pictures distributes it, so it follows a different path to streaming than other MCU films.

What else to expect in 2026

VisionQuest premiered on Disney+ on 13 October 2026 and runs for eight episodes, with the finale on 10 November. Paul Bettany returns as Vision, and the series is in Phase Six.

After Doomsday, the next confirmed MCU releases are Daredevil: Born Again season 3 in March 2027 and the animated special Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier in October 2027. Avengers: Secret Wars, which ends Phase Six, opens on 17 December 2027.

How 2026 fits in the MCU timeline

In the official Disney+ order, Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again season 2, The Punisher: One Last Kill and VisionQuest are the last four titles, after The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set four years after No Way Home but is not in the official order yet, so we place it after VisionQuest and mark it as provisional.

Avengers: Doomsday comes next in our list, and we will move it if Marvel places it differently. The MCU timeline guide explains how the Multiverse Saga fits together, and the where to watch guide shows how to stream the earlier films.
